Well, as always, each and everyone of you have bounced straight back into your learning. Your determination and resilience never seizes to amaze me and I am so proud of all of your achievements during home learning. Let’s keep this up right until the end of term. I know it’s not the end of term we would have wanted, but we are still a class team and we will continue to support and help each other until you are ready to start your new class adventures.

What an incredible week of learning you have had Year 2. You all look like you have had so much fun! The recipes you have all followed to make some delicious meals have made me very hungry. I have definitely been inspired to make something other than my ham sandwiches for lunch! Your volcano photographs and videos have also made me smile, with some very inventive ways being used. As I mentioned in my video last week, please don’t forget to say thank you to your wonderful parents. They are doing an amazing job at keeping you busy and allowing you to complete all of this creative learning.
I hope that you all enjoy the extra long weekend with your families, and hopefully we may have some answers about what’s happening after the weekend.
Stay safe!
Missing you all,
Miss Woodend

I can’t believe that we’ve reached yet another Friday.
I have loved receiving your photographs this week. Your creativity in your learning has been superb! I have been particularly blown away by your fantastic English work. It looks as though you’ve all enjoyed the Roald Dahl poems. I have also been receiving lots of different emails telling me that different awards have been achieved on the different learning platforms, including more than 30 books read on Epic and lots of sections complete on IXL. Keep it up Year 2!
Also … after looking through all of your friend’s home learning, you might just see a little message from a familiar face and a particularly wriggly puppy!
I hope you are all keeping well!
Stay Safe and God Bless!

Good Afternoon Year 2!
This week I have been blown away by your creativity and enthusiasm in your learning - your photographs and emails have made me smile everyday! You are all working so incredibly hard at home and the quality of the work you are producing is great. I hope you all enjoyed eating your baking creations - they looked delicious and made me very hungry. Your target practice games were also fantastic and many of you have made superb starts to your Grace Darling projects.
Enjoy looking through all of the photographs of you and your friends.
Have a lovely weekend with your families,
Miss Woodend

Good afternoon Year 2,
I have been amazed by how well you have sprung back into your learning this week. Receiving your photographs really does make me smile (although it does make me miss you even more!). Thank you parents for your feedback of the learning too. It has been great to hear that many of the children are able to access the learning independently.
So many of you have made wonderful dens and I love that some of you even slept in yours over night! Your geography maps have also been superb, with many of you using your daily exercise to help you with this task.
I hope that you have the best weekend you can in the current situation. Get some rest and enjoy precious time with your families.
Stay Safe and God Bless,
Miss Woodend

Final home learning photographs of the week
Home Learning Photographs!
Good evening!
Thought I would brighten up your day a little more with more home learning photographs.
Looking through today’s photographs got me thinking about this term’s virtues ‘grateful and generous’. Although things are a little different and we are having to adapt to different day to day lives, maybe you could sit down as a family this evening and have a think about what we are grateful for and how we can still be generous in these tough times.
I love how many of you have managed to take your learning out into the lovely sunshine over the past couple of days.
Sending my love,
Miss Woodend
More home learning photographs!
WOW Year 2, you really are blowing me away with your fantastic work at home. You are all being such ‘Enthusiastic Bobby Bees’.
I have had a few requests from parents asking if I can post the home learning for the next day the evening before so that they can get things organised. I will most certainly do this when I can.
