Roughly how many teeth do crocodiles have in their lifetime? Email me with your answer.
Reading
Well another day and another opportunity to find a relaxing spot and get lost in your book. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Olivia and Asher have both met their targets, well done you two!

Here are today’s crocodile challenges.
Maths
Here are yesterday’s answers. From now on I’m going to include the answers with the challenges.
Today’s maths is here and the answers for it below.
Science
This week in Science Mrs Nel would like you to investigate the way in which water is transported within plants. This is our science question—How does water get from the roots up to the flower?
Do you think you might already know? Discuss it with your grown up, big brother or sister. Next, have a look at this video clip. Please pause it at 1 minute 24 seconds to ask your child to predict what they think will happen.
If you have some celery at home ask your grown up if you can have a stick or two, or you may wish to use a white flower as this works well too. Do not worry if you can not try this today if you don’t have the things you need, see if you can have a go over the next week or so. When you are able to, have a go at this investigation, research how it works and record your findings.
Could you make a video?
Annotate photos?
Use Purple Mash to make a booklet?
Draw your results and explain what happened?
Be inventive with presenting your findings, include detail and scientific explanations. Happy investigating!

Day 3
Read pages 8-11 of the RSPB Nature Birds Guide by clicking the front cover opposite. This could be by reading the text to your child or by reading a paragraph, or page, to each other.
Return to pp 10-11, What do birds do all year? Using a paper plate if you have one (or a large circle drawn on paper), split it into quarters. Label each quarter with a season. Using the information from the text, write down what the swallow does in each season. You can make your own sentences using key words from the text to help you. Colour and decorate your seasonal circle to make it attractive.
Enjoy listening to Follow the Swallow by Julia Donaldson using the link here:
https://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=D6E2rE0Y KBA
When you hear about Apollo the swallow in the story, can you make links with some of the facts you’ve recorded on your seasonal plate?

Hello Year 3
I have just been checking and marking all of your coding work on Purple Mash, I hope there will be more later on today too. I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your coding work, at the beginning of the unit quite a few commented to me that you found it hard and now your coding work is fantastic. You have been Sadie Spiders and made me feel very proud of your resilience.
